How do I know if the Automate Your Business Plan software will work on my computer?

How do I know if the Automate Your Business Plan software will work on my computer? 

Read our Technical Requirement page to find out the minimum requirements your computer must meet to effectively run our software as well as info for Mac users. 
 

Is it safe to submit my credit card information online? 

Both the Order and Download and Secure Online Order Form are secure forms that use file encryption to prevent third parties from being able to intercept your credit card information. If you are still hesitant to use these options, we also provide the Printable Order Form which you can print and mail with your check or fax with your credit card information. Also, please feel free to call in your order to: 714-544-0248. 
 

Once I download your software, how do I get it running on my computer? 

After placing your order, you will be provided with a link to download AutoBPlan.zip. Save AutoBPlan.zip to a folder on your hard drive that you will remember. Open that folder and double-click AutoBPlan.zip. WinZip or another zip utility will open the AutoBPlan.zip file. If you don't have a zip utility, you can download an evaluation version of WinZip here. Extract the 3 files in AutoBPlan.zip to a folder on your hard drive that you will remember. Open that folder and double-click AutoBPlan.exe which will begin the installation process. The Install-Shield Wizard will guide you through this process. If you follow the prompts, accepting the defaults, Automate Your Business Plan will be installed and ready to run with its own icon on your desktop.  
 

What is included with the downloadable version of Automate Your Business Plan? 

The downloadable includes:
AutoBPlan.exe - the installation file for Automate Your Business Plan
QS Manual V2015.pdf - the electronic version of our 60-page QuickStart manual
Dayne Landscaping Business Plan.pdf - a complete example business plan

Karma Jazz Cafe Business Plan.pdf - a complete example business plan
The QuickStart manual and example business plans are in PDF format for Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The book, Anatomy of a Business Plan, is available as a downloadable option in combination with Automate Your Business Plan. The book is also available in printed format. If you wish to order a hard copy of the book, you can purchase it from most major bookstores or you can order it directly from us at 1-800-419-1513. 
  

Your QuickStart manual and the example business plans are in PDF format. How do I read PDF files? 

PDF files can be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You may already have this application on your computer. If you do not, you can download a free copy of it here. Install Acrobat Reader, start the application, open the file "QS Manual V2015.pdf" and print your copy of the QuickStart Manual.
 

What is included with the hard copy software package of Automate Your Business Plan? 

You will receive our software application and our 60-page QuickStart manual on CD. As a bonus to those who order the hard copy of Automate Your Business Plan, you will also receive a free hard copy of our award-winning book, Anatomy of a Business Plan 
 

Why does the hard copy of Automate Your Business Plan cost $15 more than the downloadable version? 

The downloadable is $15 less because it does not include the Anatomy of a Business Plan book. If you order the downloadable with the eBook option, it will cost you $10 more and you will save $5 over the hard copy. The higher cost of the hard copy of the software reflects the cost of the CD, software packaging, and order fulfillment. 
 

I already own your Anatomy of a Business Plan book and would now like to order Automate Your Business Plan. Do I still need to pay $95 and receive another copy of the book? 

If you have already purchased our Anatomy of a Business Plan book, you are eligible for a $20 discount on the software. In order to receive the discount, you will need to call in your order by telephone (714-544-0248) or let us know that you have purchased the book in the "Comment" box of our Secure Online Order Form when you fill it out. We will give you a $20 courtesy discount and send the Automate Your Business Plan CD (with the QuickStart Manual) but no book, for $75 instead of $95. Note: Downloadable orders must be arranged by telephone.
 

Is there technical support available in case I need help with the software?

We have a technical support number that you will find in your QuickStart Manual and under the Help Menu in the software. We also supply you with a telephone number that you can use if you have a business planning question. Our goal is to help you in any way we can to write a business plan that will work for your company.
